Pence Gallery Healing Arts - 6 Week Workshop (Davis)
Held three times per year, this 6-week workshop uses art as a healing language for adults ages 18+ who are looking for a space to be in community and explore their experiences of grief and loss. This is a peer-support / self-help group facilitated by myself + my friend and local artist Amy Vidra; we cultivate a warm, supportive, low-pressure environment - no art experience necessary.
This is a closed group of only 8-10 participants, so pre-registration is required via the Pence Website:

Cost is only $25 for all 6 weeks, due to generous funding by community members Bob & Joanne Andresen.
6-Session Grief & Loss Workshop - Ceramic & Multimedia Healing Arts (Sacramento)
This 6-session series provides a space for adults ages 18+ to be in community and explore their experiences of grief and loss through art. Participation is not limited to death loss; all forms of grief are welcome. The environment is warm, supportive, and low-pressure - no art experience necessary.
This series will include a handbuilt ceramic art project complete with firing and glazing, as well as other multimedia projects such as collage, watercolor and mosaic.
Sessions are spread out over the course of 3 months (Nov, Dec, Jan) in order to provide support before, during and after the holiday season. Specific dates include:
Nov. 13 & 20 - Dec. 11 & 18 - Jan. 8 & 15 (Fridays from 2-4pm)
Registration is $245 for all six weeks, however *no one is turned away for lack of funds!* Please reach out if you’d like to participate but need some financial assistance.
Leave the Light On Holiday Candle Workshop
This workshop is for individuals or families looking to connect and honor a loved one or anything else they are grieving this holiday season. We will share stories, create art, and construct a community altar. Each family will go home with a custom candle infused with meaningful messages, colors and scents to help them “leave the light on” for their loved ones through the winter months. Kids 5 and up must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Registration is $75 per person or family, however *no one is turned away for lack of funds!* If you would like to participate but need some financial assistance please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sac Open Studios: Expressive Watercolor Drop-In Workshop
Come by Panama Art Factory during Sacramento’s annual Open Studio weekend,and join us upstairs to create your own abstract expressive watercolor, one of my favorite exercises for nervous system regulation, letting go of expectations and embracing curiosity and play! *Visit us FIRST THING when you arrive at the Factory so your piece has time to dry while you visit other resident artist studios!*
All ages welcome. Kids under eight must participate alongside an adult. Pre-register to save your spot or drop-in anytime between 11-2pm.
No cost to participate but donations are appreciated.
